Due to the extremely soft snow and the recent rain, MYSL will not meet today, Sunday, January 24, 2010. We hope to have enough snow and cooler temperatures to be able to groom the trails for next Sunday.

Please dress the kids appropriately, skiing is OK today as there is no wind and temp at 8-10 deg.
See you all at 2 PM.

Due to the extreme cold weather today, January 3rd, we will NOT be meeting.

Well- the temps should be just above zero this afternoon with a wind chill above our limit of -15, so our January 3rd meeting at Hyland is a go for 3 p.m.
Please dress appropriately: balaclavas, face masks, mittens rather than gloves if possible, poly or wool sox and layers covered by a windproof shell.

We'll be sure to keep the cocoa warm!

Despite the blustery day we had yesterday we've got a perfect day today to ski! Two weeks in a row- pretty amazing, huh?

Parents, please bring skis today! See you at Dunton Locks at 2:30!!

Well, it was -29 when I left for work this morning and not supposed to get a whole lot warmer through the course of the day... but thankfully I just checked the weather and it looks like this cold should be gone by the weekend and we'll be back into the low teens. This just might mean we can meet two weeks in a row!!

The kids are doing great, we are so impressed with how well the whole group is skiing! Big thanks to all the parents who came with skis last Sunday. More hands trying to help some of the little ones are greatly appreciated!
